The Yellow Boat
Tempe Center for the Arts
700 W. Rio Salado Parkway Tempe
Based on a true story, The Yellow Boat tells the tale of a young artist named Benjamin who's faced with an incurable, ultimately fatal disease. Through his art, Benjamin deals with the unknown, expressing his joys and fears on paper. The creative young boy leads his family, friends, doctors and the audience through an amazing, bittersweet and heartfelt experience. This award-winning play was first produced by Childsplay in 1992 and changed the face of children's theater. In honor of their 40th anniversary, the troupe brings Benjamin's remarkable voyage back to the stage at the Tempe Center for the Arts.
